Benzio helps drivers find the cheapest fuel near them. We aggregate real-time price data from official government databases and authorized retailer feeds, making it easy to compare prices across thousands of stations in seconds.
Who Built Benzio
Benzio was created by Nikolai Yakubovsky, an independent developer based in Spain. What started as a side project to help drivers save money on fuel has grown into a platform covering over 70,000 stations across 8 countries.
Our Data Sources
We believe in transparency. Every price on Benzio comes from an official, verifiable source:
- Australia — PetrolGo API (NSW, QLD, WA, SA, TAS government data)
- United Kingdom — Authorized retailer JSON feeds (11 sources)
- Germany — Tankerkoenig MTS-K API (Bundeskartellamt data)
- Austria — E-Control Spritpreisrechner
- Italy — MIMIT Osservatorio Prezzi Carburanti
- Portugal — DGEG (Direcao-Geral de Energia e Geologia)
- France — prix-carburants.gouv.fr (Ministere de la Transition Ecologique)
- Spain — MITECO Geoportal de Gasolineras
How We Ensure Quality
All prices are validated against expected ranges before publication. We filter out sentinel values, detect outliers, and cross-reference data to ensure accuracy. Each data point carries a timestamp showing when it was last verified.
